ANDREW BARTON HAIR GROUP

ABOUT ANDREW BARTON

Famous for his down to earth approach to hairdressing, Andrew has cut and styled the hair of the famous, and the not-so-famous, all over the world. From superstar to supermodel, ‘It’ girl to pop legend as well tending the tresses of ‘real’ women and men, Andrew brings a wealth of unique expertise and experience to all that he does and is an authority on all things hair.

With over 25 years' experience working with the world’s leading haircare brands, Andrew is now creative head of his own Andrew Barton Hair & Beauty Empire. His phenomenally successful Haircare and Stying range was launched in 2007 exclusively in Asda and has now grown to 22 products in the range. Summer 2009 sees the launch of his electrical range, hair brushes and accessories.

Andrews first salon opened in Covent Garden, London in Autumn 2009. Further salons are planned to be opened over the next five years.

Previously he was International Creative Director for Saks, the UK’s leading hair and beauty salon group with over 140 salons, where he developed the brand's signature imagery, led the Artistic Team and fashion philosophy. From luxury brands Redken NYC, Kérastase, to L’Oréal Professional and TIGI Andrew’s knowledge, experience and creativity have been used throughout the world where he has led pioneering projects.

Prior to Saks he was the Creative Director at Toni & Guy based in London and was a key figure in the brand's rise to super world success.

Andrew was voted British Hairdresser of the Year 2006/2007 and Hair Icon in 2008. He has been nominated for both awards in 2009 as well as 'Ultimate Hairdresser' and is acclaimed as one of the world's best.

Andrew travels the world, sharing his hairdressing skills and knowledge at international seminars. A trusted voice in the industry, he is respected as the top spokesperson for hair education and hair fashion. His nose for trend forecasting make him a favourite of beauty editors and his signature style of 'hair beauty' is in demand for photographic editorial and front cover alike.

He is passionate about creating great hair and believes it can change a woman’s life. He is addicted to the smile a woman has when he has styled her hair. In 2007 alone he travelled to 20 countries, from the USA to Paris, Bangkok to Brazil. With an international client list, his appointments are in demand with a fully booked schedule 6 months in advance. He was recently named best stylist by Tatler Magazine and best hairdresser by Cosmopolitan. His price tag for an appointment is amongst the highest in London and with a waiting list he's hugely in demand.

Born and bred in Yorkshire, Andrew’s passion is transforming the hair of ‘real’ women, giving them beautiful, feminine, wearable styles rather than conceptual looks. Well established as the ‘Makeover Guru’, Andrew listens to clients’ needs and believes in giving them a great hair cut that works for them every day – one they can easily manage themselves.

No stranger to television, he is recognised on the street as that 'makeover guru from the TV' ... being the resident hairdresser on the UK's hit makeover show '10 Year's Younger'. With over 5 million viewers this show is the ultimate make over show and is loved by viewers in the UK. Outside the UK, 10YY is shown in over 135 countries.

Andrew has worked on the heads of many celebrities including Robbie Williams, The Olsen Twins, Kylie, Elle Macpherson, Kate Moss, Penny Lancaster, Juliette Lewis, Jennifer Ellison, Innes, Sertab Erener and Melinda Messenger.

On the catwalk Andrew has worked on shows for Prada and Versace ... as well as an array of upcoming talent at London Fashion week.
